Välkommen till Rydbergs

Rydberg serverar Svensk mattradition med färska ingredienser av högsta kvalitet. På menyn hittar ni ett urval av fisk, kött och traditionella aptitretare och desserter. Under sommaren serverar vi våra populära pizzor och färsk pasta och ett urval att fräscha sallader.

Rydbergs är mest känd för sin klassiker, Biff Rydberg, som kom till under 1800-talet av kocken Gustafsson. Biff Rydberg anses idag vara en av de mest traditionella Svenska maträtterna.

Vi hoppas på att få träffa er och erbjuda en härlig lunch eller trevlig middag med en förstklassig serviceupplevelse.

Historia

The Rydberg Hotel, located by Gustav Adolf square, was the meeting place for authors and socialists during the early eighteenth century.

Most of the well known Swedish authors were frequent guests of Rydbergs Restaurant.

It was the wealthy merchant Abraham Rydberg of Linköping, Sweden, who made it possible to built this great modern hotel in 1857.

Rydbergs Bar was the center of Stockholm's social scene. Rydbergs closed it's doors in 1914 to make way for a modern bank.

The Writers's House was reopened in 1988, and Stockholm had its Rydbergs once again, where one could stop for a nice warm dinner and a refreshing drink.

With it's unique interior and permanent exhibition of portraits of authors captured by the renowned Lufti Özkök, Rydbergs is the meeting place where the literary is united with the culinary.

The Rydbergs Restaurant is now located in the Writer's House at Drottninggatan 88 and is well known for having the most beautiful garden in all of Stockholm, where you sit in the nature in the middle of the city.
